We made a cheat sheet because we needed one.

Only 26% of amateur golfers ever break 90. The other 74% of us are out there grinding, three-putting, picking the wrong club on the par 3, and wondering why the round we played last weekend felt like a completely different sport from the one we played today. That's the golfer we built this for. That's us, too.

Dude Golf is a small Canadian company that makes one thing really well: a waterproof, pocket-sized reference card called Golf Cheat Sheets. It lives in your back pocket, comes out between shots, and tells you what you'd ask your buddy if your buddy actually knew the answer. Yardages, club selection, mental cues, the stuff that gets fuzzy after a beer and a sleeve of lost balls. No app. No battery. No "hold on let me check my phone" while your group taps their feet on the next tee.

About the founder

I'm Robert Matuk. I founded Dude Golf in 2022 because I was tired of standing over a 150-yard shot, second-guessing my 8-iron, and pulling the wrong club anyway. I'd watched too many rounds get ruined not by my swing but by my brain — too many thoughts, not enough commitment. So I started writing down the stuff I wished I knew: the club distances, the bunker rules, the pre-shot phrases that actually quiet the mental chatter. I printed it on waterproof card stock so it would survive a wet round and a sandy back pocket. That first version turned into Golf Cheat Sheets, and the response from other golfers told me I wasn't the only one who needed it.

Today, our flagship product ships to golfers across the US and Canada. Every word in the deck has been edited by me or someone I trust. Every printing run gets test-played on a real course before it gets sold.

What we believe

Reduce mental clutter. Increase clarity before a shot. Pick one swing thought, trust it, hit the shot.

That's the entire brand in one line. Golf is a game where the player who quiets the inside of their own head wins. Most of the golf industry sells you the opposite — more swing thoughts, more tech, more apps, more things to second-guess. We're the anti-system. Pull the card, find your number, commit, swing. Done.
